Terms and Conditions:

We charge for diagnosis and repair. The diagnosis of each car is different depending on the make and model and the relevant issues of each vehicle. Training for our technicians, sophisticated diagnostic equipment, and tools are all required to get the job done right. The fees for the process of finding the problem with your car do not include labor or parts for repairs. We stand ready to meet your needs and answer any questions regarding your vehicle.

For purposes of these Terms and Conditions the term “Mike’s” shall refer, inclusively, to the officers, employees, subcontractors, and agents of Mike’s Auto Clinic, LLC.

You agree by having your vehicle serviced at Mike’s that you have read and agree to all the terms, and conditions of our service policy and our warranties. By having your vehicle serviced at Mike’s you are agreeing to be known as a client/customer from this point forward.

Payment: Payment for all work performed by Mike’s is due immediately upon the performance of such work. All clients/ customers agree that a mechanics lien shall exist in favor of Mike’s on the clients/customer vehicle securing the amount of any invoice, including charges for labor, parts, and storage, until such invoice is paid in full.

Storage: You may be charged for vehicle storage at the rate of $25 per day beginning 72 hours after Mike’s notifies you that repairs to your vehicle are complete, unless otherwise agreed by Mike’s in writing prior to repair.

Vehicle Operation: You agree Mike’s may operate your vehicle on streets and highways, at your risk of loss, for the purposes of testing, inspection, moving, or delivery of your vehicle. You waive any claim related to the operation of your vehicle by Mike’s for such purposes, including without limitation, any damage to your vehicle which is not caused by Mike’s operation of your vehicle or regarding the number of miles driven.

Risk of Loss: You acknowledge Mike’s does not insure your vehicle against, and you release Mike’s for any liability associated with any, loss or damage to your vehicle or any personal property in your vehicle in the case of fire, theft, vandalism, accident, or any other cause beyond Mike’s control. We are not responsible for any vehicle that is left outside, or any damage or losses incurred by the owner or any other agent or controlling party to said vehicle.

Limitation of Liability: You acknowledge and agree that Mike’s liability to you for any claim related to repair services it provides, including under the warranties described above, shall be limited to the original cost of such repair services (including parts and labor) set forth on Mike’s invoice for such repair services.
Collection Fees: You agree to pay Mike’s costs incurred in the collection of any unpaid Invoice the amount for Mike’s services, including fees paid by Mike’s to a collection agency and/or any attorney fees paid by Mike’s, whether or not legal action is commenced by Mike’s. You agree to pay a $30 returned check fee for any returned check.

Old Parts: All old replaced parts (with the exception of parts needed by the manufacturer, unless you request and pay for the core) are available for your inspection, and you may take most of the home if needed.
Our Rights to Remedy: If you have an upset regarding any service that you received, we reserve the right to address any issue you may have and do what we can to satisfy the issue. By not giving Mike’s the opportunity to resolve issues and then making a public comment or rating, it will be considered a breach of contract.

Towed In Vehicles: If a vehicle is towed to Mike’s for any type of service, Mike’s will not be responsible for any damage to that vehicle prior to delivery by a third party.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone seeking service at Mike’s.

Warranty Terms:

We are happy to share the details of our industry-leading warranties.
Limited Warranty: Mike’s warrants that its repair services are free from defects in material and/or workmanship for a period determined by customer type:
Customer type:

  1. 24 months or 24,000 miles of use for fleet or commercial vehicles.
  2. 36 months or 36,000 miles of use for Customers (excluding fleet or commercial vehicles). – for warranty help call the Napa peace of mind warranty on Invoice
    Then by the associated mileage or time specific to the customer type, whichever comes first, determined from the date of repair or odometer reading shown on Mike’s invoice (the “warranty period”). Subject to the exclusions and limitations listed below for each customer type. Mike’s will repair, at its cost, all defects in the time of the specific warranty period or for the miles of use, whichever comes first, and thereafter until the end of the warranty period, whichever comes first, as time and materials allow.

Our warranties do not apply to defects arising from (i) normal wear and tear or lack of periodic maintenance during the warranty period; (ii) repairs or service by third parties; and (iii) accident, fire, or other acts of God. MIKE’S MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTY OF ANY KIND AND THE ABOVE WARRANTIES SPECIFICALLY EXCLUDES ENGINE REPLACEMENTS, TRANSMISSION, CLUTCH, OR DIFFERENTIAL REPAIRS, AUTO BODY, PAINT, MOLDING, GLASS REPAIRS, TIRES, AND USED PARTS, UNLESS WE HAVE TERMS IN WRITING ON INVOICE. IN NO EVENT SHALL MIKE’S BE LIABLE FOR DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF VEHICLE USE.

Our Warranties exclude alignments and items that normally have a service life less than the warranty period, such as but not limited to fluids, filters, and windshield wipers.

All warranty claims shall be made in writing to Mike’s and shall describe the nature of the claimed defect. Mike’s shall have the option to repair or replace any defective workmanship or parts or refund the original amount invoiced for repairs (less any prior refunds), in Mike’s sole election.

Fleet and Commercial Customers

The warranty is good for a term not to exceed the 2 calendar years or 24,000 miles whichever comes first from the date of the original repair. The vehicle must be returned to the original service location for warranty service. All warranty claims require an appointment.

Exclusions and Restrictions on in-house Fleet or Commercial Customer warranty:

1.) Mike’s warranty covers repairs to covered components that have mechanically failed, Our warranty does not cover any towing, breakdown, Mechanical failure or expenses that are due to, resulting from, or are caused by any covered repair in our warranty. 2.) Coverage under the agreement may be changed at any time without notification to you. If you would like a copy of our warranty terms call or stop by. 3.) A change in ownership of the vehicle will void any warranty. 4.) Tires do not apply to this warranty. The Manufacturer’s warranty may apply. 5.) No warranty will apply to any part or component damaged by a covered component 6.) The cost of the warranty repair shall not exceed the original cost of the repair. 7.) Warranty does not cover modifications from stock repairs. 8.) Dealer parts are covered for the term provided by the dealership. We offer a warranty on the replacement labor of any dealer part for the term of the warranty period. 9.) Brakes and or brake system exclusions: a) Brake pads and rotors that have been allowed to sit for any period that causes rust to build up on the rotor surface are not covered. b) Brake caliper issues like a sticking caliper or any other issue with a caliper that causes damage to brake pads or rotors that have been replaced by Mike’s will void any warranty that may be associated with the brake pads and rotors. 10.) Used Parts: a) Used engines, transmissions, or any other drive train component carry no warranty for parts or labor unless it is in writing on the paid invoice. b) Used computers or other electrical components are covered for a period of 30 calendar days from the service date. Unless stated in writing on the invoice, unless the component was supplied to us by the customer or their warranty company. Mike’s does not warranty parts or labor on customer supplied parts.

Limited Customer Warranty: (Applies to customers other than Fleet and Commercial Customers): The Limited Customer Warranty is good for a term not to exceed the 3 calendar years or 36,000 miles whichever comes first from the date of the original repair. The vehicle must be returned to the original service location for warranty service unless covered by our nationwide 3rd party warranty,

Exclusions and Restrictions on in-house warranty (Applies to customers other than Fleet and Commercial Customers):

Mike’s non-commercial or fleet customer warranty covers repairs to covered components that have mechanically failed, Our warranty does not cover any towing, breakdown, Mechanical failure or expenses that are due to, resulting from, or are caused by any covered repair in our warranty. A change in ownership of the vehicle will void any warranty. Tires do not apply to this warranty. The Manufacturer’s warranty may apply. No warranty will apply to any part or component damaged by a covered component. The cost of the warranty repair shall not exceed the original cost of the repair. Dealer parts are covered for the term provided by the dealership. We offer a warranty on the replacement labor of any dealer part for the term of the warranty period. Limited Lifetime parts/labor warranty Customers:

Many parts come with a limited lifetime warranty, all come with exclusions as aforementioned (abuse, neglect etc.). Lack of maintenance and service will limit parts supplier liability. Manufacturer covers the replacement cost of the parts only, this does not include fluids, shop supplies and misc materials. These expenses will be paid by the customer.

Lifetime labor customers:

Customers who purchased additional lifetime labor warranties agree to follow the warranty policy and procedures available in the Extended Warranty Procedure Pamphlet,provided at the time of purchase.

Lifetime Parts and Labor warranties are available on many types of repairs and services including: Head-gaskets, clutches, brake repair, computer replacements, rear end and transfer case repairs etc.

FAILURE AND/OR REFUSAL TO HAVE REPAIRS PERFORMED BY MIKE’S OR IT SHALL BE DEEMED A WAIVER OF THIS WARRANTY AND MIKE’S SHALL HAVE NO OBLIGATIONS WHATSOEVER UNDER THIS WARRANTY THEREAFTER. ALL WARRANTIES REQUIRE A 6-MONTH FOLLOW UP CHECK-UP INSPECTION VISIT TO VALIDATE WARRANTY, FAILURE TO DO SO VOIDS WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. (please make sure we have contact info)

Warranty Claim Guidelines: To obtain equipment replacement under this warranty, the customer must, within 30 days after discovery of defect or failure, submit a claim to a Mike’s Auto Clinic. The customer must also allow our Technical Service Department to examine the defected product and, if required, the vehicle or equipment, to determine the extent of damage and whether it was caused by a defective part, product, or repair covered by this warranty. Products must be returned – in their original, unmodified condition – to the place of purchase for warranty consideration. Mike’s Auto Clinic will replace any product at our discretion that is found not to conform to this warranty provided that the customer follows this warranty filing procedure:

  1. File a Defective Warranty Claim in writing and submit it to the shop manager. Be very specific about the incident and the reason for filing the claim. The more information provided, the easier it will be to expedite and process the claim.
  2. Submit all pertinent paperwork, including copies of the original purchase receipt, repair orders, pictures (if applicable) and all paperwork relating to the incident.

NO PERSON IS AUTHORIZED TO MODIFY THIS LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY IN ANY WAY.
